Environmental Education Outreach
The Environmental Education Outreach (EEO) program serves to provide K-12 teacher training and community events to all who are interested.
History
EEO was previously known as the Environmental Information Cooperative (EIC), a partnership of local, state and federal agencies who joined together to provide environmental education and information within Clark County. In 2007, the EIC dissolved and became the Environmental Education Outreach program of Columbia Springs.
About EEO
EEO is primarily funded by Clark County Solid Waste, Clark County Clean Water and the City of Vancouver. Program activities include organizing, planning, and hosting several teacher trainings, Columbia River Watershed Festival, assisting with the Clark County Earth Day Celebration, Student Environmental Leadership Conference and other community events.
EEO is an accredited organization by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) to provide teachers clock hours when they attend an EEO teacher workshop.
Greenlines Newsletter
