Special Event Volunteers
From festivals to fundraisers, volunteers are needed throughout the year.
Columbia Springs is proud to host a number of special events throughout the year, at which we are often in need of volunteer assistance. Events include fishing festivals, community field trip days, fundraisers, and more!
Columbia River Watershed Festival
Volunteers are needed to help with the Columbia River Watershed Festival held each fall in September. This is an annual event that engages thousands of fourth-grade students on a day-long field trip. Volunteers are needed to assist as “Class Guides,” helping a class of students, their teacher, and chaperone get from one learning station to another throughout the park.
Family Field Trip Day
Help with registration, craft activities, nature hikes, and more at our two Family Field Trip Day events. Anyone can help out! Click here for more information.
Going Green Summer Nature Camp
Summer camp volunteers and interns assist with supervision at our Going Green Summer Nature Camp. Students at the camp explore our 100-acre site to build forts, play games, and learn about being stewards of the natural world. More information will become available about how to become a 2014 summer camp volunteer or intern.
Tabling at Community Events
Throughout the year Columbia Springs participates in several community events hosted by other organizations. At these events we often have a table with information about our organization as well as an activity or craft for kids. Volunteers representing Columbia Springs at these events are often part of our Volunteer Lead program. Click here for more information about how to become a Volunteer Lead.
We need volunteers for other events throughout the year such as Kids Fishing Festival, Family Field Trip Day, and our Hooked Fundraiser. Check the homepage of the website for information about becoming a volunteer at upcoming special events.
