Earth-friendly Garden Tour

Be inspired by local gardeners who use natural gardening techniques.

The 2009 Earth-friendly Garden Tour was held Sunday August 9
from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Earth-friendly Garden Tour was an opportunity for Clark County residents to be inspired by local gardeners who use natural gardening techniques. Earth-friendly gardens are healthier for children, pets and the environment.

The self-guided tour highlighted 6 gardens, 3 in Camas and 3 in Vancouver, with host gardeners and volunteers on hand to answer questions about how to grow healthy and attractive flowers, vegetables and lawns without the use of chemicals. Earth-friendly gardens use natural pest remedies, alternatives to chemicals, and often incorporate plant species which support native wildlife.

In 2010, the Master Gardeners may incorporate some earth-friendly gardens into its annual garden tour.
