Whole Foods Market donates over $1,800 in support of environmental education.
Whole Foods Market, the world’s leading retailer of natural and organic foods and America’s first national “certified organic grocer,” selected Columbia Springs as the beneficiary of its September 24th Community Support Day. Four times a year the Vancouver Whole Foods Market sets aside a day on which 5% of that store's sales is contributed to a local 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Wednesday's sales generated $1,819.75 in support of Columbia Springs and environmental education.
"Columbia Springs plays an invaluable role in the Vancouver community. Environmental education for youth is a necessary element to building a sustainable future. Whole Foods Market is proud to sponsor an organization working to educate our community on ways to reduce daily environmental impact," said Shawnte' Yates, Marketing & Community Relations Specialist for Whole Foods Market.
Everyone at Columbia Springs is delighted to be partnering with Whole Foods Market and thank them for their support. Over 7,000 students will benefit from their generosity.
