Getting Involved

On Site Events

Our events help thousands of people a year to connect with nature and learn about the environment and human impact.

Kids Fishing Festival is provided in partnership with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife and offers hundreds of children a year the opportunity to learn how to fish; and participants receive fishing poles to take home. Guided Walks are provided monthly during the warmer seasons, and they offer guests free tours where they learn about the Hatchery. Family Nature Days are a free monthly event designed to be fun and informative as children and their families explore the site through activities and games.  Workshops are hosted throughout the year by expert volunteers on a variety of subjects.

What we do

On Site Events

Family Nature Days

What do a salmon scale and a tree ring have in common? What critters live in our wetland? Explore these questions and more at Columbia Springs’ Family Nature Days!

Columbia Springs offers a variety of workshops on sustainable living, ecology, and other environmental topics led by local experts in the Clark County area.

Kids Fishing Festival

Join us for a day of fun family fishing! Kids ages 5-14 are eligible to fish with an expert fishing mentor.

Repair Clark County

Repair Clark County organizes free events around the county where folks can bring broken household items and have expert volunteer “fixers” attempt to fix them.

Hooked on Nature

Our annual auction dinner fundraiser is an evening of celebrating and supporting Columbia Springs and the work we do in our community.
