As the year approaches its close, we are proud to welcome our new Communications Coordinator – Kylie Sahota – to the Columbia Springs staff team!

A long-time Pacific Northwest resident, Kylie grew up in the Vancouver area and has enjoyed serving as volunteer in the community since she was young at organizations including the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, Clark Public Utilities and Silver Buckle Ranch. She now brings experience in science-based program management, environmental education, and creative blogging from her time working with the Coastal Observation and Seabird Survey Team (COASST) and many departments at the University of Washington.

Always passionate about our aquatic resources (and a nerd for most all fish and nature stories), she recently returned from the University of Washington with a degree in Aquatic and Fishery Sciences and is excited to continue inspiring stewardship and serving the wonderful residents of Vancouver through her role at Columbia Springs.
