Columbia Springs is hiring for a Volunteer Manager. The Volunteer Manager supervises volunteers and provides direction, coordination, consultation, and recognition for all volunteer functions at Columbia Springs. Volunteers include volunteer leads, docents, Stewardship Saturday participants, school/church/business groups, and individual volunteers.

 

This is a full time, non-exempt position at $19/hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Develop, promote and maintain a wide range of volunteer opportunities within Columbia Springs

 

Recruit applicants for volunteer projects

 

Provide ongoing support and guidance for volunteers through consistent communications

 

Coordinate volunteer participation in community outreach events

 

Restoration and site maintenance

 

Coordinate four Sustainable Living Workshops per year

               

Develop and monitor program budget

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in education or natural resources and one year of relevant work experience in the field of environmental education; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
